"Who Are You" Questionnaire
Please answer these questions when you are relaxed and have at least 20 minutes to spend. Print out and write down the first answer that comes to your mind, whether it makes logical sense or not. Remember, there are no right or wrong answers…only your answers.
Childhood
- As a child, how did you spend your free time? What did you do that caused you to lose track of time?
- When people asked you what you wanted to do when you grew up, what did you say? Did you say different things at different ages? Why did you mention the careers you did? Would you say the same thing now?
- Who were your childhood heroines or heros? Name three, and say why.
- What types of books, games, or movies captivated your attention? How did this change during your childhood?
Teenager or Young Adult
- What were your first jobs outside of the home? What did you learn? How did you feel about working?
- If you attended college or vocational school, what led to your choosing your course of study? On a scale of 1-4, with 4 being the most passionate, how passionate were you about your major?
Present
- If your career has changed before, how would you describe your career change? (Your change may include moving from student to worker.)
- If you could wave a magic wand and change every single person on the planet in one way, how would you change us? Does the change with your magic wand relate to one of your passions?
- What is one positive trait, quality, or characteristic about yourself that hardly anyone knows?
- On your deathbed, what is the one phrase you want to say that will encapsulate your life?
